Wild Animal Rescue Trail Run was created from a shared vision to combine sport with a deeper purpose—bringing people closer to nature while supporting wildlife conservation.
The idea began through a collaboration between Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand and GAA Events, transforming a trail running experience into a platform for awareness and real impact. Set within the natural grounds of WFFT in Phetchaburi, the concept allows participants to connect not only with the landscape, but also with the stories of rescued animals.
At the heart of the initiative is a simple yet powerful idea, reflected in its identity:
WWW — When, Where, Why.
- When people come together through sport
- Where nature and wildlife coexist
- Why we run—to support, protect, and give animals a second chance
More than a sporting challenge, the initiative was designed as a meaningful way to contribute directly to wildlife welfare. Funds raised support ongoing rescue efforts and the development of essential facilities, including the Wildlife Hospital Project—helping provide medical care and long-term rehabilitation for animals in need.
Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand provides sanctuary to hundreds of rescued wild animals, many of which have suffered from injury, neglect, or exploitation. As rescue efforts continue to grow, so does the need for sustainable, long-term support.
More than just a run, this initiative represents a meaningful intersection of community, conservation, and shared responsibility—inviting individuals and organizations to be part of something that creates lasting impact.
